Poster Board Reservations
The STEM Support Services Office coordinates reservations of 15 poster board stands for use on campus.
Making a Reservation
- Poster boards can be reserved in multiples of 3. Only whole blocks of 3 will be delivered. If you need 8 poster boards, reserve 3 groups and you will receive materials to assemble 9 poster boards.
- Reservations must be made at least 4 weeks prior to the date needed.
- Each reservation covers a full day and begins at 6 a.m. on the day reserved. Be sure to include the time to transport, set-up, take-down and pick-up the boards in your reservation.
- Please read this entire page before clicking on the Reservation Link below.
- Details and Reservation Fees
Poster boards may only be delivered between 6 a.m. and noon on Monday-Friday. If you need the boards over the weekend, then ask for delivery on Friday and pick up on Monday.
- A disassembled stand consists of 2 side posts (approx. 7' tall), 2 crossbeams (8'8" long), 4 washers, 4 wing nuts and a 4' x 8' black foam sheet.
- Poster boards do not come assembled. They must be assembled and disassembled on site by the event staff. Instructions for assembly are available here.
- Hardware must be picked up at the STEM Support Services office, 229 East Bartlett prior to the event and returned after.
- Only pins may be used on the boards. A container of push and T-pins is provided with the hardware. No tape, glue or other adhesive may be used. Do not write on the boards.
- Due to the size of the disassembled parts, poster boards can only be delivered to locations with building door access to ground level or with a large enough freight elevator to transport the crossbeams (8'8"). A list of suggested event locations is provided below. If your event will be in another location, please contact us after making your reservation to confirm delivery is possible.
- Poster boards may only be used on campus.
- Reservations made here are for the poster boards ONLY. Make room reservations through the UNI Event Management System or other appropriate method.
- Poster Board reservation and transportation is free for University A & B groups as defined by the UNI 8.02 Facilities Use Policy. University C groups may use the poster boards on campus for a rental fee of $30/3 boards/event plus the cost of transportation. Contact STEM Support Services to determine the costs and set up payment.
- Regardless of group classification, all groups will be responsible for payment of damages for excessive damages including tape, paint or writing on foam core sheets, missing parts, damaged frames. Damages will be billed at actual costs to fix/replace.
Questions about reservation can be directed to the STEM Support Services secretary.
- Information Required for Reservations
- The Contact Person will need to make the reservation while logged in on their CATID. For UNI Group C Audiences (non-UNI organizations), contact the STEM Support Services secretary to make your reservation for you.
- Reservation window (all reservations are made in 24 hour blocks, each block begins at 6 a.m.). Be sure to include the time to deliver, set-up, take down and pick-up the boards in your reservation.
