Iowa Space Grant Consortium Staff visit UNI

President Nook and several faculty share with ISGC staff about the importance of supporting undergraduate research in the sciences. ISGC annual provides funding multiple UNI undergraduate researchers. The Iowa Space Grant Consortium is a partnership between NASA, Iowa's 4 Core ISGC Academic Institutions, and affiliate institutions across the state to bring connections to NASA to Iowans. This spring the ISGC Staff spent a day at UNI meeting with university faculty and leadership to learn more about our campus and deepen our NASA partnerships.

Space Grant staff met with faculty who are already funded by ISGC and/or NASA and with faculty who are engaged in projects ripe for new collaborations and funding opportunities.

ISGC annually provides opportunities for both faculty and students to receive funding for research and other activities. The call for 2024-2025 Undergraduate Research Scholarships is open now through June 24, 2024.
